One Month To Live
I’ve been reading this book by Kerry & Chris Shook called One month to live and I gotta tell you, it’s pretty good. Honestly, when I started into the first couple chapters I was about to give up on it. I liked, no loved the concept but it wasn’t grabbing me. Now, I’m just about through it. It’s been interesting, considering what I would do if I had only one month to live.
Would I skydive, ride a bull (named Fu-Manchu), climb a mountain? All that is just stuff, it’s just thrill seeking collecting. There’s gotta be more to life than adrenaline and goosebumps.
In my church, Mosaic I’ve been doing a series based on this book. This week I talked about how, if you only had one month to live, you would want to make peace with others. To forgive and to be forgiven.
It was a great service and a great Sunday but the thought lingers with me even today. Am I ready to go? Have I made peace with everyone around me?
I’ve made peace with most everyone, but I guess not everyone. I can’t control others actions but I can control mine.
I guess I still have some work to do and some growing to do.
Thanks for reading, talk to you soon.
