South Texas Culture

I just got back from a short (5 day) vacation in South Texas. The culture down there is so rich and so familiar. I was born and raised in Colorado and I love my state and my city but there’s nothing like the food and familia in South Texas. My dad is from the Corpus Christi area so maybe that’s why it feels like home.

Anybody have similar thoughts about Texas or some other area?
