Starbucks Rant # 1.

Today at work an elderly lady threatened to throw ice at me if I made her drink incorrectly. I told her to bring it on and we could go UFC MMA style right there in the store. Rules: no eye gouging, no groin shots and no foreign objects.

Just kidding.

But she really did threaten me. What is our fine society coming to when little old women want to threaten to rumble with a 36 year old strapping young Starbucks barista?

Just for the record, I think I could have taken her if I could take it to the ground and get on my back. She couldn’t pass my guard in those support hose.

Starbucks Rant # 2

When you ask for “no foam” on your latte, it’s like slapping your barista in the face. We work hard to make nice foam so: “all we are saying, is give foam a chance.”

Starbucks Rant # 3

It’s frustrating when customers come into the store and expect us to have every detail of every one of their drinks memorized. Please don’t get all put out if I forget that your Iced Venti, single shot, 1/2 decaf, 3 pump sugar-free vanilla, 1 pump sugar-free hazelnut, soy, light ice, upside down, Caramel Macciato has extra caramel. It doesn’t hurt to politely recite your drink at the counter to the register person.
